Meet the Artists behind the Treadmills exhibition- Karina Wiles
As part of our collaborative art exhibition with The Art Crowd, which is on show in the Treadmills Square, here is our first ‘meet the artist’ profile.
Karina Wiles is a textile and mixed media artist based near Thirsk. Her tactile creations are both inspired by and reflective of nature’s textures,
shapes, and colours. She is passionate about upcycling and traditional heritage crafts, particularly rag rugging, and loves to educate people that it’s
more than just about making rugs! She is currently focused on wildlife and flora-based fibre art projects.
